Women in Data Centres: Spotlight on Liquid Cooling and Research-Driven Innovation

"When I started, liquid cooling was mostly talked about as something promising for the future. Today, it's a requirement right now."

Tina Stark, R&D Engineer and Project Manager at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, shares with Lisa Scarlett how quickly the industry has transformed.

In the latest Women in Data Centres spotlight, Tina shares:
- How she went from knowing nothing about data centres to leading cooling research projects
- Why AI has accelerated the shift to liquid cooling faster than expected
- The biggest misconception: that data centres are "just rooms full of computers" (they're not)
Her advice: "If you're interested, do it!"

With an Energy Engineering background from Luleå University of Technology and experience at Vattenfall's Hydro Power department, Tina represents the next generation tackling the industry's most pressing technical challenges.
