Automotive and future transport
The automotive industry is experiencing the most significant technological transformation in over a century. The development of electrification, automation and connectivity is creating new and complex safety challenges. Vehicle manufacturers and suppliers must verify that battery systems are safe under extreme stress, that electronics do not disrupt other systems or become disrupted themselves, that autonomous functions work in all traffic situations and that vehicles comply with the rapidly changing regulations surrounding cyber security and type approval. At the same time, market requirements demand independent testing and certification from a neutral party with technical expertise and accredited testing facilities.
RISE can support you throughout the entire development chain, offering world-leading testing infrastructure and in-depth expertise. At AstaZero, we test and verify autonomous vehicles and active safety systems in real traffic environments, and our work is accredited by Euro NCAP. At SEEL in Säve and Nykvarn, we accelerate the electrification of the automotive sector, and at our unique battery safety laboratory, we perform critical battery safety testing from the level of individual cells to complete vehicles, with world-leading exhaust gas and water purification systems. Our EMC facility, the largest in Northern Europe, ensures that vehicle components and complete vehicles function correctly in their electromagnetic environment. Our three test facilities — AstaZero, the EMC facility, and the battery safety lab — are TISAX-certified according to the automotive industry's common security standard. This certification guarantees the secure handling of sensitive information and prototype protection, among other things. As a designated technical service provider for the Swedish Transport Agency, we certify vehicles and components in accordance with ECE regulations and UNECE cyber security standards.
