A white paper on Green Electronics

RISE has taken an active role in the writing of the EPoSS white paper on Green Electronic Components and Systems: ECS Sustainability and Environmental Footprint. EPoSS stands for European Association on Smart Systems Integration. ECS is Electroncs Components and Systems.
“In the White Paper, a wide range of experts from the Smart Systems Integration community of the EPoSS associations provide their insights on the state-of-the-art technologies and future targets in the ECS domain in the context of the EU legislation, international standards and in support of the European Green Deal."
The document talks first about electroncs components and systems and the global environmental context, then it adresses today‘s situation from cradle to gate, and improvements, after that is talks about green ECS by design and extending product lifetime and finally the white paper gives recommendations for the next steps toward green European electronics.
