Risk and security
As society becomes more high-tech, digital, and interconnected, vulnerability increases. Automated transport, interconnected energy systems, and just-in-time deliveries create efficiency—but also new risks. For companies and organizations, this poses challenges: How can you ensure that safety-critical control systems function correctly? How do you build information systems that not only withstand attacks but can also adapt and recover? How do you manage continuity when your business is hit by cyberattacks, fires, or other disruptions? How do you address new risks from electric vehicles, hydrogen, and batteries?
RISE helps organizations build security and resilience from product to operation. When safety-critical control systems are developed for machines, vehicles, or the process industry, RISE conducts independent functional safety assessments in accordance with standards such as ISO 13849, IEC 61508, and ISO 26262. At the same time, electrical safety in electrical products is tested to verify that they do not pose a risk of electric shock, fire, or heat hazard. At the organizational level, RISE supports continuity management through certification according to ISO 22301, which ensures that operations can continue to function in the event of serious disruptions. Through risk analysis and a systems safety perspective, RISE takes a holistic approach that combines technical solutions with organizational resilience – from individual components to entire information systems and operations.
