A milestone is reached for the WEDISTRICT demo-site!

Today our two containers are in place and also our gas storage. The bottom container contains a data centre with a Submer basin for cooling of the OCP server equipment and a UPS. The top container contains the fuel cells for powering the IT and deliver heat to the district heating network. The top container was delivered today.
The WEDISTRICT demo-site in Luleå where we use fuel cells to apply an innovative waste heat recovery experiment. Excess heat will be recovered from the small data centre in Luleå to feed into an existing local district heating network, while generated electricity power will be used for the data centre itself.
Now we are looking forward to the integration and to power-up the experiment in March. After that we will operate the system for one year and collect data and create new knowledge from this innovate and unique set-up.
