Metrology

Measurements form the basis of decisions in all industries, from product development and manufacturing to trade and research. Whether automated control systems are used in the process industry or manual quality checks are performed, the reliability of the measurements affects product quality and operational efficiency. Incorrect measurements can result in products being discarded, extra work being required, unnecessary costs being incurred, and, in some cases, serious consequences for health and safety. Accurate, traceable measurements that meet legal requirements are crucial for competitiveness, product quality, and trust throughout the value chain.

RISE supports you with quality-assured measurement technology throughout the entire measurement chain. Calibration of measuring instruments in all size ranges is carried out both in our laboratories and at our customers' premises, supplemented by certification according to international standards (OIML, WELMEC) and the development of new measurement technology for future needs. By inventorying instrument fleets, assessing requirement levels and optimising measurement processes, we ensure that your measurements are of the right quality, even for advanced applications such as AI models.

Why RISE

01

Traceability throughout the chain

– we maintain national measurement laboratories and national references that ensure that your measurements are traceable to international definitions in the SI system
02

Calibration in all areas

– from time and temperature to electricity and flow, we calibrate both in laboratories and at your premises with full documentation via a digital customer portal
03

Certification and standards

– we issue OIML certificates for measuring instruments and certify components according to WELMEC, which provides a basis for type approvals in international markets
04

Expertise and advice

– we provide support with inventorying instrument fleets, assessing measurement needs and requirement levels, and training in measurement technology and measurement uncertainty to strengthen your expertise
05

Research for the future

– we develop new measurement methods and references with lower measurement uncertainties to meet the increasing demands for accuracy from industry and the business sector
