The Digital Earth Sweden platform makes Earth observation data easily accessible. Together with AI, the information can provide conclusions about everything from climate change to fraudulent construction.
RISE hosts the Digital Earth Sweden platform, which is developed in collaboration with the Swedish Space Agency. RISE is part of the ongoing project National Space Data Lab 2.0, which also includes the Swedish Space Agency, Luleå University of Technology and AI Sweden. The purpose of the project is to be a Swedish hub for space data and part of a European system for Earth observation data. The project is financed by Vinnova.

RISE is a state research institute that collaborates with universities, business and society for innovation development and sustainable growth. Test beds and demonstration environments of this type are part of RISE's offer in industrialization and verification.

We are talking about all the advantages of increased digitization, and challenges with the large consumption of electrical power it entails. However, there is rarely talk about the need to develop the infrastructure that is the prerequisite for all new digital tools and systems, and which is what produces all the digital services we need.
