Energy transmission
Sweden's electricity supply is undergoing a historic transition, driven by the electrification of industry, the integration of renewable energy sources, and a significant surge in electricity demand. At the same time, production is being shifted from the north to the south of the country, grid capacity is being expanded and stability is being ensured. This presents challenges for companies, grid companies, municipalities and regions in areas such as power shortages, capacity planning, investment decisions and cost-effective solutions. Without the right data and strategic decisions, there is a high risk that investments will not be made, costs will rise, and the transition will be slowed down.

Region Skåne predicts electricity demand with power forecasts
Region Skåne needed to know how electricity would be used in the future. With the help of electricity forecasts, the region now has a tool that can help develop both society and the economy.
Why RISE
01
System analyses that show the way forward
– We analyse the dynamics of the electricity system, capacity needs and transition scenarios to identify optimal strategies and investments that meet future energy needs. 02
Power forecasts for proactive planning
– We produce geographically detailed forecasts of future power requirements, providing municipalities, regions and network companies with a basis for faster and more accurate network expansion. 03
Accredited verification of measurement systems
– We perform independent checks and develop methods for continuous monitoring of energy measurements, ensuring accurate billing and increased confidence in the market. 04
Flexibility solutions for stable electricity supply
– We identify and evaluate how different players can contribute flexibility to the electricity grid, for example by helping district heating companies to participate in ancillary service markets and increase both profitability and system stability.Relevant areas for you
