First server emulator test 12 kW with Chip Load Emulators (CLE)

Our first 2U Server emulator of 12 kW under test.

We are now doing tests with our modular built Server emulator. It contains 6 CLEs, Chip Load Emulators, at 2kW each. We fully control load and temperatures and protect it for mistakes. With this we can evaluate cooling performance of coldplate 1- or 2-phase systems, immersion solutions, air cooling or hybrids at high heatflux. For the hybrid air-coldplate we use our windtunnel. The other in our liquid cooling testbeds.

The server can be extended to full depth. It will then be possible to reach 30 kW in 2U or up to 700 kW in a full sized 19" rack. The modular build makes it possible to create a server for any size rack or immersion tank.

This is a breakthrough in cooling performance evaluation at future high heatfluxes.

Our partner Hillstone will make it available for the "loadbank" market. We will use it in all our research and experiments.
