Godkännande av återvunna näringsprodukter i ekologisk odling på gång inom EU?

I ett utskick från European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform (ESPP) den 12 juli 2022 anges att indikationer finns om att godkännande av återvunna näringsprodukter till ekologisk odling kan vara på gång inom EU. Man skriver att frågorna nu inkluderats i 2022 års arbetspaketet för EUs expertgrupp för ekologisk odling.
Vidare uppmanar ESPP alla med intresse och kunskap i frågan att under de kommande månaderna kontakta sin medlemsstat för att diskutera förslaget. Så här skriver ESPP i sitt utskick:
"Dear all,
It is our understanding that consideration of authorisation of recycled nutrient products in EU Organic Farming is now included in the 2022 work programme of EGTOP, the EU’s Expert Committee on Organic Farming. The EGTOP minutes of 8-10 June 2022 refer to “Recycling of nutrients (struvites, stripped nitrogen: requests from Member States)” to be addressed later this year.
This follows actions of the last two years by ESPP, with IFOAM (the European Organic Farming federation), and also a European Commission answer to a written question from two members of the European Parliament (Peter Jahr, Norbert Lins). ESPP has now written to the European Commission (DG AGRI) requesting clarifications and with precise proposals for amendment wordings to include into Annex II of the EU Organic Farming Regulation 2021/1165 the following: Struvite, Calcined phosphates, Recovered elemental sulphur, Bio-sourced adsorbents used to treat wastewaters, Phosphorus-rich pyrolysis and gasification materials (inc. biochars), Algae and algae products grown to treat wastewater, Vivianite, Recovered nitrogen from off-gases.
ESPP’s letter of today (12/7/22) including these amendment proposals, and previous correspondence and documents, are available here www.phosphorusplatform.eu/regulatory. Comments are welcome as we continue to try to take this forward.
It is therefore important, in coming few months, that your company or organisation make contact Member States (Ministry for Agriculture, Organic Farming) to ask that the Member State submits a dossier to EGTOP for one or more of these recycled nutrient materials, and/or supports their inclusion into the EU Organic Farming Regulation. We hope that you can do this with the Member State where you are based.
