Greetings from the Centre Director

We are approaching Christmas and the end of the year, and it is time to look back at the year that has passed. It has been an exciting and interesting year for NextBioForm, where a lot has happened in research and other activities.
In August, we were informed that Vinnova is extending NextBioForm's funding by one year, and thus operations will continue in 2024. A plan for 2024 has been drawn up and we will focus on completing projects, but also work more with outreach activities and communication. New projects will work on implementing AF4 at CoSAXS and delving into water interactions in solid preparations.
In November, we were finally able to carry out what was already planned for 2020, a conference on formulation and drug delivery arranged in collaboration with the center SweDeliver. The conference took place in Uppsala 27-29 November, and it was a wonderful experience to see so many researchers from both academia and industry gather for scientific exchange and networking in a wintry Uppsala. We now look forward to 2024, which will be an intense year for NextBioForm. 2024 will offer several dissertations, new studies with advanced techniques for characterization, and new collaborations with other centers.
