Purpose

This is a service provided by the RISE test bed Cleaning Innovation.

 

Optimized cleaning efficiency

We develop and optimize cleaning formulations tailored to the type of surface, dirt, and application method. This reduces the time for cleaning and maximizes production time.

Environmentally friendly technology

We help to reformulate cleaning formulations with more environmentally friendly ingredients, such as renewable solvents and surfactants.

Evaluation of independent party

We offer an independent scientific assessment of cleaning efficiency which is valuable for marketing and environmental certifications, for example the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.

Method

RISE has access to many different techniques to measure the cleaning efficiency, for example:

  • Spray-wash equipment
  • Evaluation of cleaning efficiency with internally developed RISE test and image analysis/colour analysis
  • Gravimetric determination of cleaning efficiency
  • Dishwasher and laundry tests using model dirts
  • QCM-D technique for evaluating cleaning efficiency
  • Automatic cleaning and abrasion tester
