Welcome to the final seminar of our project, in which we have spent two years analysing how municipalities can work in a more structured and long-term manner with climate adaptation. The focus has particularly been on:
The project has developed a policy proposal with a model for how municipalities can be divided in stages into different geographical areas based on the level of ambition for climate adaptation. This provides clarity to citizens regarding the role the municipality will take. During the seminar, this model will be presented together with proposals on how older detailed development plans whose implementation period has expired can be managed in a considered, structured, and legally sound manner.
The seminar is aimed at municipal representatives, government agencies, researchers, banks, insurance companies, interest organisations, and other stakeholders with an interest in municipal climate adaptation and spatial planning.
The project is funded by Formas and is carried out in collaboration between Karlstad University, Lund University, VTI, and above all the project municipalities of Trelleborg Municipality and Karlskrona Municipality.
You are warmly welcome!
