COOLGEOHEAT II supports the climate transition with sustainable, cost-effective solutions for thermal energy sharing between buildings. It strengthens local energy supply and reduces emissions. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund through Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak.

The energy transition faces many uncertainties, while planning tools are often deterministic. This project will develop the first planning tool for energy infrastructure across multiple sectors that represents this uncertain environment, at regional, national, and European levels.

The Bio-FlexCLC project aims to develop and demonstrate a full-chain technology that utilizes biogenic residues and wastes for flexible CHP production with the possibility of cost-effective CO2 capture.

Analysis of biomass and bioenergy in cmobination with carbon capture (CCU and CCS) in the sector coupled energy system as a flexible complement to variable renewables, e-fuels and direct air capture.

System dynamics simulation modelling to facilitate/support decision-making practices made by municipalities and industry where WtE operations, the energy system, and high-level policy goals such as increased material reuse and net-zero targets are integrated

HeatMineDH aims to develop business cases and investment plans for the incorporation of low-grade heat sources into high temperature district heating networks.

Thanks to the joint effort of 28 partners from 10 European countries, a large testbed facility in Boekelermeer business park will prove how “Renewable Energy Valleys” can represent the optimal energy system for small to medium industrial sites close to residential sites.

Climate change is widely recognised as the most significant challenge facing humanity today, with a strong push needed for uptake of renewable energy. Bioenergy will play an essential role in the energy mix, being one of the few renewables that is not intermittent.

RISE has developed a high-resolution sensor system to follow the position and orientation of a magnetic marker in three dimensions. This sensor system can find several applications in research and industry. The system can be tailored and optimized for the customer's needs.

The project intends to present a decision document showing the revenue levels required for flexible bio-based combined heat and power to be profitable. Among other things, the project will study the profitability of different technology solutions, fuel choices and market conditions.
