The jury's motivation reads:

"Per Johnsen and Fredrik Fröst, as supplier and customer, have developed an IT system aimed at improving efficiency in assembly. All assemblers continuously register their work, and each night these data are used to update assembly times and to provide information for planning. The system links together all of the company’s functions, and confirmed delivery times can now be met. The system shows that continuous data collection from the assembly process can stabilize the company’s planning and delivery capability, even when the market is changing. The use of the system has led to increased employee engagement, a better overall perspective within the company, and a significant improvement in productivity. The system is modular in structure, and new modules have been introduced over time. The development work demonstrates that even smaller companies can create competitiveness by giving employees access to advanced yet easy‑to‑use tools. The joint work of Per Johnsen and Fredrik Fröst serves as a model for Swedish industry."
