Interim report January-March 2026

RISE’s financial results for the first quarter of 2026 show a positive trend compared with the previous year. Net turnover amounted to SEK 1,138 million, which is an increase of 2.0% compared with the previous year. Operating profit was SEK 18 million, resulting in an operating margin of 1.6%, which is also an increase compared with last year. Despite a turbulent global environment, we view the first quarter as a stable start to the year.

The EU is currently in the negotiation phase regarding the framework programme for research and innovation, known as FP10 or Horizon Europe 2028–2035, and the proposed new European Competitiveness Fund (ECF). The EU’s forthcoming framework programme is crucial to the ability of technological research institutes to help strengthen Europe’s competitiveness.

"Investment in applied research creates the conditions for a competitive Europe. RISE is now investing in technology that strengthens Sweden’s position as a leading nation in innovation," says Malin Frenning, CEO.

The interim report is published in Swedish below.
