Bio-based products have great potential to contribute to the transition to a sustainable and circular economy. But the measurement of critical product properties is required for efficient and quality-driven processes. RISE can help solve the industrial measurement challenges of bio-based processes and products.
In the production of solid bio-based products such as wood, food, textile, agricultural and pulp and paper products, there is a common challenge to steer their processes towards better efficiency towards increased yield, reduced energy consumption, chemical use, water consumption and reduced waste. A key to streamlining these processes is to be able to measure in real time the desired physical and chemical properties of the products and raw materials, as well as measure and control the properties of the product both during the process itself and in the finished end product.
RISE has the laboratory infrastructure and the materials, process and measurement technology expertise to take a measurement challenge from idea to industrial prototype. At the same time, we utilise our network in industry, among suppliers and academia to develop solutions in the form of assignments, form consortia, initiate and run projects.
