The e-mark functions as a passport within the EU's common market and extra checks are avoided. Overfilling of packaging is reduced by systematic handling of the manufacturing process, which leads to economic benefits.

More often you can notice a little special "e" next to the quantity indication on prepackages. But a number of requirements must be fulfilled in order for the packaging to carry the e-mark.

A prepackad product, which is exported from one country to another, is usually checked by the importing country to assess whether its requirement for the correct net quantity is met. Such controls take place according to the importing country's own national rules and can become both expensive and time-consuming.

In order for such rules not to impede the free movement of goods, EU Member States (along with the States which have signed the EEA Agreement) have agreed on common rules that take over the national.
 

Consumer protection

In order to protect the interests of consumers, each country has its own rules on how much a prepackage must contain in terms of weight or volume.

Requirements for e-marking

In Sweden is the requirement for the right net quantity the same for consumer packaging without e-mark as for packaging with, but if the mark is used, there must be guarantees that the "passport" is valid. The requirements that have to be fulfilled in order for a prepackaged to be e-labeled is that there must be routines at the companies for self-inspection which include any of the following principles:

• Sampling of batches
• Check with approved checkweigher in the production line
• Use of approved filling scales
• Use of approved measuring bottles with templates

EC Directives

These rules are found in EC Directives 76/211 / EEC and 75/106 / EEC. According to them, prepackaged item may under certain conditions be labeled with a special e-mark, which facilitates the prepacked products so-called "free movement" throughout the common market. The regulations (STAFS 2017: 1 on prepackad products) that implement the EC directives in Sweden can be ordered from the regulatory authority.

E-mark

If the e-mark is on the package, it must be at least 3 mm high and designed in a very special way.

e-marking audit with sampling is performed on site at the customer. Certificates are designed after approval of requirements from SWEDAC STAFs. 2017:1

Usually within 4 months of the agreed audit date.

Now there is the possibility for manufacturers to P-mark the conservatories. The P label means that the conservatories not only meets the legal and / or regulatory requirements but also other requirements that the market demands. P-marking means type-test, a quality and self-inspection which is monitored by an independent third party, in this case

The purpose of the P-label is to give the consumers security when they buy the conservatories.

They are told clearly that there is security against personal injuries, that the conservatories have some water tightness and that the carrying capacity, the statute and the permanence correspond to high demands.

At the same time, the manufacturers get a good opportunity to demonstrate quality.

For consumers, the labeling means increased security.

Possibilities of having RISE wide expertise in several different areas, be able to verify the different properties of the conservatories such as water tightness, airtightness, safety against wind loads, durability or other qualitative properties through standardized tests.

Accredited tests for mechanical, physical, and chemical properties of aggregates and filler for road-, asphalt-, mortar- and concrete purposes according to EN 12620, EN 13043 and EN 13139. We also perform audit inspections in the above-mentioned areas with the Construction Products Regulation, CPR. RISE is a notified body in the area.

Aggregates as above is included in system AVCP 2+ according to the Construction Product Regulation (CPR) which means type testing, auto control and external audit inspection for the manufacturer.

The results of the test and audit inspection consume, among other things, the basis for customers' CE marking against EN 12620, EN 13043 and EN 13139. This may be, for example, type testing or the manufacturer's auto control.

Tests that we perform are usually accredited, but we also perform tests according to methods that are not covered by our accreditation. At present, we can perform about 20 accredited methods in the ballast area.

We can also perform sample preparation and testing of rock samples or drill cores from new intended quarries.

Information Security Management Systems - ISO 27001

Certification of fire alarm systems and smoke and heat ventilation products according to Construction Products regulation (CPR) and/or intruder alarm systems according to SPCR201.

Fires and burglary cost society a great deal of personal suffering and incur huge costs annually. RISE Certification has for this reason developed a service that gives the possibility for higher quality requirements for both fire alarms and burglar alarms. For fire alarms, the Construction Product Regulation (CPR) must be fulfilled before these products can be put on on the European market. By complying with this regulation, the manufacturer CE can mark its Product.

Intruder alarms are not included in the Construction Product Regulation (CPR) requirements, but must nevertheless comply with applicable EU directives and regulations such as Electrical safety, EMC and RED directives.

Fulfill current legal requirements in Europe and show that the product is a professional alarm system certified by a recognized accredited certification body that can open new doors to new markets.

Binders such as cement and masonry cement are included in system AVCP 1+ according to the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) which means autocontrol testing, supervisory testing, audit inspections and evaluation.

The results consume, among other things, the basis for customers' CE marking against EN 197-1 and EN 413-1, autocontrol testing and demonstrating that the product meets requirements in, for example, AMA Anläggning or SS 137003. For example, we have the opportunity to issue statements for compliance with moderate heat generation (MH), low alkali content (LA) and national sulfate resistance (NSR) according to AMA Anläggning.

We can also help analyze the properties of the cement as an independent actor. For example, we can analyze water-soluble hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) according to the test method SS-EN 196-10:2016.

Taximeters and accessory devices are intended to make shure that the customer can feel safe with the final price after a taxi ride. A taximeter shall calculate the price of the fare based on certain predetermined parameters and the accessory device shall, among other things, print the receipts of the fare.

The purpose is to create safety for the taxi customer regarding the price to be payed for the taxi ride and that the information on the reciept is in accordance with the calculated taximeter price.

We can offer a complete solution since we are a notified body for the MID (Measuring Intruments Directive), a technical service for E-marking and an accredited certification body for STAFS 2022:2 (accessory devices).

We perform testing and certification of taximeters and / or accessory devices* according to Swedac's regulations. We perform testing in our own labs and we use the international requirements in OIML R21 for the environmental- and EMC-requirements for taximeters and accessory devices.

*An accessory device means a printer with associated software.

After the evaluation and functional testing (with approved results), the customer will receive test reports and certificates.
