Grinding of paper pulp
The grinding laboratory is a separate part of the FEX pilot paper mill. Here, paper pulp can be ground in one or more stages. It is also possible to grind with recirculation of part of the flow.
The test bed is a flexible pilot plant for grinding paper pulp. Here, experiments are conducted with single-pass grinding or recirculation. There are two different mills and many different grinding segments. All equipment is industrial scale.
The test bed consists of:
- Disc mill, Beloit + various grinding segments
- Cone mill, Metso JC-01 + various grinding segments
- Pipe system
- Pulp tank
- Pumps
- Measuring and control equipment
