Preventive health

Healthcare spends a minimal amount of resources on prevention, even though research shows that preventive measures lead to better health and lower costs for society. Short-term thinking, isolated activities, and a lack of incentives prevent knowledge about the value of prevention from being put into practice. The value of preventive measures is distributed among many actors, which makes it difficult to justify investments despite long-term gains.

RISE supports municipalities, regions, and healthcare providers in developing and implementing measurable preventive measures. Through the Social and Health Impact Center (SHIC), we offer analysis of risk and protective factors, economic impact analyses, and evidence-based support for designing solutions that improve health outcomes. We develop social outcome contracts, cross-sectoral governance, and monitoring systems that demonstrate effects for both individuals and society.
