RISE network for Food and Nutrition

To support the nutrition-related work of the food industry, RISE will launch the Food and Nutrition Network in 2027, with a specific focus on product-related issues and sustainable nutrition.

Food producers and the retail sector operate in a time when food, nutrition, and health are widely discussed. Consumers and political initiatives are placing increasing demands on products with better nutritional profiles, clear information, and transparency. At the same time, diet-related ill health is rising, along with expectations that the food sector should be part of the solution. This places high demands on companies and industry organizations to follow, interpret, and apply the latest knowledge in nutrition within product development, marketing, assortment strategies, and policy work. To support the food industry in this effort, RISE will launch the Food and Nutrition Network in 2027.

About the network

Through the RISE Food and Nutrition Network, companies and organizations gain access to up‑to‑date knowledge and research in food, nutrition, and health, with a special focus on product‑related issues and sustainable nutrition.

The network strengthens participants’ ability to make well‑informed decisions and thus equips their organizations to meet future needs in product and assortment development, innovation, communication, business development, and trust‑building efforts.

At the network’s meetings, presentations from researchers and authorities are combined with industry perspectives and joint discussions, creating a dynamic environment for relevant and practically useful knowledge building. By allowing members to propose themes and questions, the meetings are ensured to reflect current issues and needs within the sector.

Target group

The RISE Food and Nutrition Network is aimed at professionals in food production, retail, and industry organizations who work with issues related to nutrition and health.

Examples of roles expected to benefit particularly from the network include professionals in product development, research and development (R&D), nutrition and health, quality, purchasing, category and assortment management, as well as communication and food labeling related to nutrition and health.
