Mikael Mangold
Forskare
Mikael Mangold is a researcher and leads a small group of researchers analysing Sweden’s building stock. The doctoral students analyse investments in vulnerable areas, segregation, and energy poverty. The work often involves handling large amounts of complex data on the national building stock. The analyses of Sweden’s building stock are used to produce decision-support material delivered primarily to the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning (Boverket), the Swedish National Heritage Board, and the municipal housing group Framtiden in Gothenburg. The focus is usually on segregation, AI, cultural heritage values, and energy use in relation to EU, national, and local objectives.
Mikael Mangold is also an expert in water, sanitation, and waste management in humanitarian operations. Assignments are carried out for Doctors Without Borders and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency.
