Using Urban Vehicle Access Regulations for Reshaping Urban Space

UVAR4US examines how urban vehicle access regulations (UVAR) contribute to net-zero, liveable, multi-functional urban spaces as envisioned in the 15-min city concept (15mC).

Four cities, so-called Living Labs – Helsingborg (Sweden), Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain), Kozani and Ioannina (Greece), will implement and validate various UVAR measures.

Expected results include:

  • An open knowledge base with UVAR solutions in cities and their impact on the 15-minute city concept and car dependency
  • A method for citizen participation when implementing UVAR in cities.
  • The UVAR4US toolbox supporting the design of UVAR scenarios and decision-making.
