Sweden's largest and longest-running research project on circular construction, Återhus, invites you to its final conference. Over a two-year period, 14 partners have worked on six demonstration projects and now welcome the rest of the construction sector to share in their lessons learned, experiences, and choices regarding methods and processes.
The Återhus innovation project – building houses from houses – enables the reuse of houses. The project brings together several partners who are developing methods, processes, and tools for reusing heavy building components such as frames and facades made of concrete, steel, and wood.
Within Återhus, innovative and sustainable solutions for reuse have been developed in a number of work packages. The solutions have been tested and verified in a series of demonstration projects. The innovation project also includes calculating the environmental and socio-economic benefits of reused building components. The results are compiled into models, methods, and processes that support circular material and product flows. All this is done to enable standardization and upscaling of the reuse of heavy building components from pilot projects to industry standards.
The conference is hosted by the project partners of Återhus: RISE, Akademiska Hus, Bjerking, Codesign, Förbo, Heidelberg Materials Prefab Contiga, KTH, Magnolia Bostad, NCC, Palats, QPG, Stockholms stad, Svensk Betong, Tyresö kommun, HSB
