Windows are resource- and energy-intensive to manufacture, and at the same time, they are difficult to reuse because they must meet high standards for energy performance, airtightness, safety, and indoor air quality, among other things. Join us for a webinar that addresses the question: When is it best to renovate, reclaim, or replace windows?
Note that this webinar will be held in Swedish.
Currently, there are no standardized methods for assessing remaining technical service life and actual performance, which means that functional windows are often replaced unnecessarily. This leads to increased environmental impact, more waste, and wasted resources.
In the RISE-led project Windows – repair, renovate, upgrade, circulate? we have developed a practical methodology that combines systematic inventory, laboratory testing, and life cycle analysis (LCA) to provide property owners, consultants, and contractors with reliable guidance on the question: when is it best to renovate, reclaim, or replace?
The project was carried out by RISE in collaboration with Förvaltningsaktiebolaget Framtiden, Stena Fastigheter Malmö AB, and the City of Gothenburg.
During the webinar, you will gain:
The webinar is aimed at property owners, building consultants, contractors, municipalities, and other stakeholders involved in the maintenance, renovation, or remodeling of existing buildings.
