Contact Marina CEN ISO 1716 - Fire technical test of building products, Determination of the gross heat of combustion (calorific value) PCS (MJ/kg).
Fire technical testing within EN ISO 1716 evaluates a building products calorific value, PCS (MJ/kg) The main field of application is classification according to Euroclass Aca, A1, A1fl, A1L, A2, A1L, A2fl, and A2L(designation for non-combustible products) according to the European System EN 13501-1 and EN 13501-6. Three other test methods are also used for these fire classes: EN 13823, EN ISO 9239-1 and EN ISO 1182.
Example of products that can be tested with this method:
Within EU building products shall be CE-marked according to the Construction Product Regulation (CPR). Building products with harmonized product standards or that have an ETAG/EAD need a CE-marking to be sold within the EU. A basis for the CE-marking is a fire classification according to EN 13501-1 which for instance include the test method EN ISO 1716.
Test procedure:
A small test specimen with a specified weight is combusted completely during constant volume and oxygen atmosphere inside a high-pressure calometric bomb. The combustion of the test specimen heats up water, whose temperature rise gives a measurement of calorific potential
After testing a test report is delivered in English with the results. The report can be used for classification which is needed to be able to CE-mark the building product.
Before testing we ask you to complete tje "Order Specification Form" and send this together with your order. Also attach product and safety data sheets when possible.
