Dimensional stability

RISE measures how material moves with regard to humidity and temperature variations.

Purpose

To know how different types of board materials (eg floors such as laminate or parquet, wet room boards, countertops or other wood-based boards) move under different types of climate, RISE can measure this by cycling climate in climate rooms and climate cabinets and by measuring with much precise measuring instruments.

Method

The test can be performed according to several different standards, but often according to EN 1910 and EN 318.
