AstaZero
A testbed and real-world environment for the development and testing of tomorrow’s automated transport systems.
AstaZero, which is jointly owned by RISE and Chalmers University of Technology, is a high-tech facility for the development of automated transport systems.
The facility consists of:
- A 6-km rural road circuit
- A multilane road and motorway
- An urban environment
- A high-speed area
- An environment for testing cycle paths
- An option for autonomous driving,
- etc.
These unique environments make it possible to test all conceivable scenarios within the research, development and certification of future road safety systems.
Astazero’s facility is based on collaboration between academia, institutes, industry and authorities.
It is internationally unique, as it is the first and so far the only facility in the world designed solely for testing and development of automated transport systems.
