My main focus is resilience and a system perspective within renewable energy systems. I primarily work with energy system modelling at local, regional, and national levels, often addressing complex systems that include energy production, distribution, storage and use. I frequently apply scenario analysis based on crisis situations, wartime conditions, or other disruptions to explore aspects such as resilience and economic impacts.
I am currently involved in projects related to:
- Cross-county energy and capacity analyses of energy systems
- Vehicle-to-grid (V2G) as an island operation capability
- Energy security through battery energy storage systems
- Energy communities
Previous notable projects have focused on hydrogen production directly coupled to offshore wind power, hydrogen as a fuel for heavy transport, energy supply for critical transport services, and energy storage solutions in regional contexts.
