Cheryl Marie Cordeiro

Cheryl Marie Cordeiro has a PhD background in applied linguistics, international business, and systems theory and practice. She specializes in driving cross-sector collaborations for sustainable development. She holds a Master of Science in Information Studies from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and a Master of Arts from the National University of Singapore. Cheryl’s current research focuses on circular economy solutions, with a particular emphasis on nutrient recovery and recycling. She has played a pivotal role as a co-lead in coordinating multi-partner EU projects, including the EU Interreg BSR core project CiNURGi (6.5 million EUR), EU Mission Soil iCOSHELLs (12 million EUR), and EU Horizon FERTITEC (2 million EUR), securing over 20.5 million EUR in funding for RISE and EU project partnerships. Her expertise lies in building synergies across sectors to create sustainable systems that address environmental challenges in the Baltic Sea Region and beyond.
