Efficient, gentle drying technology

Internationally competetive drying that includes conventional drying technology, combination technology such as microwave-assisted air drying, drying with infrared technology, etc. Drying of e.g. grains and other food raw materials, food products, etc.

The test bed offers opportunities to design, develop and validate conventional as well as alternative drying processes, as well as to test and develop data for the implementation of more energy-efficient drying technology.

  • Testbed food processes – alternative and conventional technology for heat treatment with several applications in drying. Includes spray drying, microwave-assisted drying, drying with infrared technology and impingement, and combination drying techniques.
  • Testbed drying of grains and crops. Includes drying with conventional technology, microwave-assisted drying and IR drying. In collaboration with Swedish manufacturers of conventional drying technology, we have a continuous grain dryer on a pilot scale.
