RISE invite you to a workshop dedicated to the EPM (European Partnership on Metrology) project MultiFixRad. “Improving the realisation of the kelvin by multiple fixed point radiation thermometry”
In the project 6 European national metrology institutes (JV in Norway, RISE in Sweden, DFM/DTU in Denmark, CMI in Czechia, SMU in Slovakia and UL in Slovenia) have establishing their own primary reference scales for thermometry, using the method of radiometric interpolation between fixed points with an established thermodynamic temperature. The project is also supported by LNE-CNAM in France and TUBITAK in Türkiye. The improved high-temperature measurement standards will respond to industrial needs in the countries and enable participation in development projects for fundamental thermometry at high temperature.
The presentations will be given in English and is free of charge.
It will be possible to participate online.
Workshop Objectives
Practical demonstration: 09.00 – 11.00
Before the workshop it will be possible to visit the temperature laboratory at RISE for a demonstration of a measurement with an eutectic fixed point. Due to the space in the laboratory the number of visitors is limited and participants outside the project will have priority.
Lunch is not included in the workshop. There is a restaurant is in the same building as the workshop, serving lunch between 11-13
Workshop: 13.00 – 17.00 including coffee break
