Swedish standard for the reuse of precast concrete elements

The new Swedish standard for the reuse of precast concrete elements establishes common guidelines for safety, quality, and liability, and is therefore key to making reuse a practical reality. During this webinar, you’ll receive an introduction to the new standard, learn how to apply it to your projects, and discover what it means in practice.

Note that the webinar will be held in Swedish.

The construction sector faces both climate requirements and resource shortages, while at the same time large quantities of fully functional concrete elements are being demolished prematurely. The lack of clear regulations has so far been one of the biggest obstacles to reuse. The new Swedish standard establishes common rules for safety, quality, and liability, and is thus key to enabling reuse in practice.

An Introduction to the Standard

The webinar provides an introduction to the new Swedish standard for the reuse of precast concrete elements (SS 137105). The focus is on what the standard covers, the requirements for inventory, testing, and documentation, and how different stakeholders can apply the standard in their projects. We will also go over what the standard means in practice for clients, consultants, contractors, and precast manufacturers.

Who is it for?

The webinar is open to everyone, but is aimed at property owners, developers, consultants, contractors, precast manufacturers, municipalities, and other stakeholders who work with or are interested in circular construction and the reuse of concrete.
