RISE, together with our partners, is taking the next step in developing the multi‑domain transportation systems of the future. We are establishing a new test and demonstration environment where autonomous air and ground systems can interact in realistic, controlled scenarios. On June 16, we invite you to an exclusive preview.
Together with Lund University, Annehem Fastigheter, and Ideon Science Park, RISE have initiated a joint effort to develop a commercial test and innovation environment where drones in system‑of‑systems solutions and automated transport systems can be developed, integrated and tested in real‑world conditions at Ljungbyhed Park.
Here, technology, data, digital twins, and advanced vehicles come together in a cohesive test chain—from sensors and communication to drones, eVTOLs, and ground vehicles.
The environment is open to anyone working in government, industry, the startup ecosystem, or vehicle development who wants to test, verify, or demonstrate autonomous solutions.
Our goal is to create an internationally competitive testing environment where society, industry, and the defense sector can develop the next generation of autonomous transportation systems. By bringing together expertise, infrastructure, and methodology in one place, we accelerate both innovation and safe development. Together, we will strengthen Sweden’s position as a global leader in autonomy by 2030.
On June 16, we’re opening our test environment for an exclusive preview. Do you work in government, industry, the startup ecosystem, or vehicle development, and are you curious about what we have to offer? We warmly invite you to register your interest.
Throughout the day, we’ll demonstrate how drones and self-driving vehicles work together in real-world scenarios—a unique opportunity to see how autonomous systems communicate, coordinate, and solve complex tasks together.
You’ll also get to take part in presentations and discussions with researchers and experts from the organizers and other leading players in the field.
Food truck on site – we’ll be serving grilled food and something tasty to drink.
At the event, you’ll meet representatives from business, research, education, and the community. Together, we’ll shape the autonomous transportation systems of the future.
Here, RISE brings the combined expertise from our AstaZero test facility and makes it available in other locations. This enables advanced testing, verification, and demonstration to be carried out in realistic environments with real‑world conditions and scenarios.
Space is limited. If you are interested, please contact Fredrik Åkeson, Chief Product Officer at RISE’s test track Asta Zero. Email: fredrik.akeson@ri.se
