Access to public transport data is a crucial factor to enable new smart mobility solutions in our cities. In the ODIN project, Nordic public transport actors join forces to publish high-quality open data that stimulates new mobility services.
The ODIN project summons the leading and nationally responsible open public transport data actors from Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark. The purpose of the cooperation is three-fold:
The point of departure for the cooperation is a joint position paper, containing six focus areas:
A tangible result from the ODIN project is a joint Nordic NeTEx profile, based on the work done by Entur in Norway. Through this profile, the Nordic countries will achieve both compliance with the requirements in an upcoming EU regulation as well as compatibility with critical frameworks such as OpenTripPlanner. The Nordic NeTEx profile is governed by eight members (two from the respective country) who are appointed by each country's transport administration.
