Energyefficient performing arts and exhibition lighting - EESU

More energy efficient light sources in the areas of performing arts and exhibition design.

A joint projekt has begun to help speed up the process towards more energy efficient light sources in the areas of performing arts and exhibition design.

Since there is a push for the lighting industry to start moving into more energy efficient solutions in accordance to the ecodesign directive, this project aims to speed up and help the process by providing information and support for both suppliers and users of LED lighting in the areas of performing arts and exhibition design. These two specialized areas have high demands in lighting quality, which is why there are today several excemptions in the ecodesign directive to cater for the artistic need. This project will research and evaluate the specific parameters and the minimum desired values in white light as a support for theatre venues and museums in the process of updating their lighting rig.

During the project a concept dictionary will also be created to make an easier understanding of industry wordings.

The project is funded by the Swedish Energy Agency.
