SS-EN 14351-1 is the European standard that specifies the properties that must be reported for windows and exterior doors sold within the EU. The standard is the basis for CE marking, which means that the products have been tested and meet established requirements for, for example, energy efficiency, tightness and durability.
Using the standard makes it easier to compare products and ensure that they maintain a safe and consistent level of quality – regardless of material or manufacturer.
For a customer, the CE marking is a guarantee that windows and doors comply with common European quality and safety requirements.
Listed to right are the properties where RISE offers services.
The results are reported in a written report that describes how the test item has performed against the applicable classification standard for the essential characteristic.
The report can also be used as a basis for a compiled ITT report and/or as a basis for the manufacturer's declaration of performance for CE marking.
Products covered by EN 14351-1 must have a declaration of performance (DoP) and be CE marked in order to be sold within the EU. The manufacturer is responsible for ensuring that the products meet the declared performance and that traceability between the product, declaration and marking is ensured.
