We perform accredited rainproof testing of windows and exterior doors.
The purpose of the test is to determine the window or front door's ability to resist rain leakage.
The accredited testing is carried out against the current standard EN 1027
The test is carried out against method A or B. Method B corresponds to an external upper protection of an entrance roof or equivalent. Method A is without this "rain protection" and thus a tougher test for the test object. The test is carried out in different pressure steps with a positive pressure (overpressure) which further stresses the tightness. The amount of water supplied during the test corresponds to 2 liters/m2 and minute.
The results are reported in a written report that describes how the test object has performed against the applicable classification standard EN12208.
The report includes descriptions, relevant accompanying images and drawings.
The report can be used as a basis for a compiled ITT report and/or as a basis for the manufacturer's declaration of performance for CE marking.
At our building physics lab, we also perform other rainproofing tests on other materials and building systems, etc. - see more in the related services below.
