The purpose of the test is to determine the window or exterior door's ability to resist air leakage.
Den ackrediterade provningen utförs mot gällande standard EN 1026.
Two tests are carried out for air tightness by measuring at different pressure levels, one with positive pressure (overpressure) and one with negative pressure (underpressure). The results of the air measurements are calculated on both the total area of the product (m2) as well as on the total joint length of the product (m) and are defined as the average numerical value of the two air tightness levels (m3/h) at each pressure level.
The results are reported in a written report that describes how the test object has performed against the applicable classification standard EN12207.
The report includes descriptions, relevant accompanying images and drawings.
The report can be used as a basis for a compiled ITT report and/or as a basis for the manufacturer's declaration of performance for CE marking.
At our building physics lab, we also perform other airtightness testing on other materials and building systems, etc. - see more in the related services below.
