Method (what/which methods are used to perform the service):RISE certification rule SPCR 177 – Certification rules for Standards issued by the Swedish Theft Prevention Association (SSF) covers SSF standards and certification requirements for many different types of products within the security sector. Certification means that the product's properties are verified by an independent party according to SPCR 177, with a customised evaluation plan. RISE offers certification, testing and auditing for all SSF standards.
Delivery (what does the client get after performed service – e.g. a report, certificate etc.):RISE is an SSF‑approved certification body. RISE can perform testing of products covered by SPCR 177 in its own laboratories. This includes, among other things, mechanical, electronic, environmental, and cybersecurity‑related properties, as well as reliability and other relevant characteristics.
RISE has a cooperation agreement with Finans Norge Forsikringsdrift (FNF). This means that RISE meets FNF’s requirements for product certification within theft protection, burglary protection, and security. As a result, certificates issued by RISE are accepted on the Norwegian market. The certificates are registered with FNF and listed via FG Skadeteknikk, making them valid and officially recognized in Norway.

Burglary and theft protection is more and more requred since society and sales demand protective products. RISE offers testning of a wide range of products and different classifications, for example doors, gates, blinds, windows, safes, locks and fittings.
Purpose/Benefit:We perform testing of burglary protection of construction products such as windows, doors, blinds, bars, hinges, safes, locks, fittings etc. We also test protection for cars, motorbikes, bikes, bank vaults, gun cabinets, post boxes. We offer explosion testning and ballistic testning.
Method (what/which methods are used to perform the service):Products are tested for manuall attacs with a range of tools.
We offer testning according to SSF (Svenska stöldskyddsföreningen) normes.

Do you want to get a basic overview of intruder alarm standards in Europe? Then this 2-hour online course is for you. Target audience is specifiers and manufacturers, also installers who want to get a deeper insight into product standards.
Many properties today have alarm systems installed. Unfortunately and historically, these have been found to give false alarms and thus it has been necessary to regulate this through standardisation. In this course we will give you an overview of intruder alarm standards in Europe.
The aim of the course is for you as a participant to get an general overview of the laws and regulations regarding alarm systems and to know which standards to use.

The course contains the following parts:
Paritet-K has identified Swedish hunters and target shooters as an important new customer base. After a somewhat unusual process with RISE, the company's gun safes are now certified to Swedish safety standards. This will enable the Ukrainian company to expand its business and contribute to the recovery of its home country.
The Ukrainian company, which has won several awards at home for its bank vaults, safes and gun safes, saw great potential in the Swedish market. But in order to add Sweden as its 55th export market, Paritet-K first had to prove that it complied with Swedish regulations.
We'll tell you how the company got there, but first let's go back to a market survey that marked the beginning of Paritet-K's Swedish story. Export Manager Evgen Dronov lists some of the findings about Sweden that the company picked up.
– Through our research we found out that almost three per cent of the Swedish population has a hunting licence, which strongly suggests that Sweden is an interesting market for us. Also the fact that its inhabitants have a comparatively high average income and that it is common practice to store insured and theft-prone possessions in safes, says Mr Dronov.
During the research phase, the company also found out about the national legislation for gun safes. In order to sell gun safes in Sweden, the products must be approved according to the SSF 3492 standard. A gun safe approved to SSF 3492 is protected against burglary by a thick special plate and a lock that cannot be manipulated.
With this information, Paritet-K contacted all the accredited certification bodies in Sweden. After careful comparison, Partitet-K chose RISE. The fact that RISE is an internationally recognised player had an impact, says Evgen Dronov. Their in-house laboratory testing capabilities was also a great advantage.
– Everything went very smoothly. RISE were both friendly and professional. The process was very similar to the one we went through to get the certificate in Germany. The biggest challenge we faced was that due to the war, RISE could not go to our production facility in Ukraine and make a physical visit, says Evgen Dronov and continues:
– Instead, RISE managed to conduct the audit via video. The inspection itself was not different than others, as we are ISO-certified in quality management and undergo annual inspections of our production facility.
Everything went very smoothly. RISE were both friendly and professional.
Companies like Paritet-K plays an important role in driving innovation, creating jobs and contributing to the reconstruction of Ukraine. This was a key consideration when RISE took on the certification assignment.
– The picture that emerged was of a well-organised, multi-award-winning company that was already certified by Polish and German certification bodies. We felt that this was enough for us to make a digital visit rather than a physical one. We wanted to help this Ukrainian company and not pull the rug out from under a serious player that needed certification to sell its products in Sweden,' says Nima Azarmehr, certification engineer at RISE:
– Paritet-K was an ideal customer for us in many ways. They responded quickly and sent additional information that made the process easier. I hope that we will soon be able to visit the company and meet them in person.
With the SSF 3492 approval in hand, the door to the Swedish market has been opened for Paritet-K. Now the work of building important partnerships has begun.
– At the moment we only sell to retailers, so our ideal customers are Swedish wholesalers of safety cabinets. Hunting shops are also an important group of partners. It is too early to analyse the results of our presence on the Swedish market, but it looks like it will increase our turnover and create positive economic results for our country,' says Evgen Dronov.
As an approved certification body for the Swedish Theft Prevention Association (SSF), RISE can certify a variety of products, including safes, in accordance with SSF 3492. The process starts with the submission of an application together with documentation for the product to be certified. This is followed by a series of tests. In the case of security or armoury safes, these include manual break-in attempts. If the requirements are met, RISE will issue a certificate. This is followed by annual audits of the factory.
How can housing in crisis areas, where infrastructure and buildings are lacking, be created with more sustainable solutions than the tents and reinforced tents often used today? Can concepts of blocks of wooden cabins be developed based on prefabricated small blocks with wooden frames?
Today, the Swedish Agency for Security and Preparedness (MSB), the Red Cross and other relief actors are sending aid to crisis areas where there is a lack of organized housing, such as after earthquakes, forest fires, hurricanes and wars. Over the past year, Europe has been hit by crises in the form of wars and earthquakes. Climate conditions in the affected areas during the winter months can be such that living in tents can be a challenge.
The possibility of building better for climate-adapted semi-permanent housing with higher quality housing and with wood as a base at the same cost as tents has been investigated. In other words: Can wooden cabins made by the Swedish housing industry replace tents in crisis areas?
Conducted interviews with municipalities in Ukraine, Turkey, MSB, UNHCR and several actors in the aid industry provided a list of conditions for building. Conditions on site are often very basic, with poor roads that do not carry heavy traffic, no access to cranes on site and sometimes not even electricity to charge screwdrivers. This means that the construction system needs to consist of lightweight building elements that can be lifted and assembled on simple foundations by 2-4 people using hand power and simple tools.
The preliminary study showed that a new concept of prefabricated so-called small blocks could be the starting point to meet the listed conditions. A building system with lightweight building elements for assembly by local people without special training during one day would be fully possible. The concept as a whole would consist of small blocks with, for example, 8 dwellings of 16 or 20 square meters without electricity and plumbing around a functional building with kitchen and hygiene facilities. The homes would be delivered as flat packages and the functional building as a prefabricated volume element.
A smaller community center in the same simple building system could also be developed for different needs such as a hospital, preschool/school or community center. With a view to a possible useful life of 1-10 years or even longer for the buildings and the possibility of reusing dismantled elements in future permanent housing solutions to be built.
A Swedish wooden house company has a product development process already developed that can be simplified/adapted to suit the envisaged concept. In the fall of 2023, the development of a pilot project is underway to send a number of cabins to Turkey and/or Ukraine for a so-called Proof-of-Concept to verify the function and cost of the concept.
