Change is difficult to achieve as a single actor, we strongly believe in working together to make a difference," says Frida Persson, Chief Technology Officer at Mycorena.

Mycorena has participated in various events, given lectures about Mycorena and been active in various research projects within FINEST.

"The vision of FINEST is well in line with our vision. Mycorena wants to revolutionise the food chain by contributing sustainable and innovative solutions through the use of filamentous fungi, and to succeed in this, we strongly believe in collaboration. If the food industry is to be sustainable, everyone must contribute, and we want to be part of that puzzle. The hope is that we can make valuable contacts, learn more about the industry and the challenges faced by other actors, so that we can find a clear role in the bigger picture."

"We hope to continue to play an active role in the project and potentially contribute with various services that can be valuable to other project partners. Among other things, we have a test facility in Gothenburg where we develop circular processes by utilising various side streams from the food industry and transforming them into nutritious and sustainable food products. We also have a production kitchen and a fermentation lab, which have been important resources in our scaling up and which we hope can help others in their growth journey."
