Businesses in rural areas often have limited opportunities to build networks and access the expertise they need. This initiative will therefore compile and tailor relevant knowledge specifically for this target group.
SPIRA is a capacity‑building project designed to strengthen the conditions for small‑scale food processors in rural areas. By making relevant knowledge more accessible, the project aims to enhance the resilience of these businesses and improve their opportunities for growth. Knowledge sharing and communication activities form the core of the project’s structure.
We are reaching out to those of you who work to support and guide food businesses and producers. This might include organisations, networks or clusters that assist businesses by providing advice on all aspects of food production, such as legal requirements, sustainability, sales, financing and business development.
Your expertise is vital as you help businesses understand new requirements and make sustainable decisions. With your experience, more players can strengthen their competitiveness and develop in a responsible manner.
