The development in water metering is progressing rapidly. New measurement technologies, increasing regulatory requirements, and a growing focus on digitalization and data security are placing new demands on water and wastewater operations.
This course provides you with an up-to-date and practical overview of how water metering works today—and what you need to be aware of in your work.
During the course, we will review different types of water meters, their installation and operation, as well as the principles behind volume and flow measurement. We will also take a closer look at regulations and requirements related to type approval, calibration, and market surveillance in accordance with SWEDAC, as well as current topics such as NIS2, data classification, and the Drinking Water Directive.
Through concrete examples and real-world case scenarios, we will discuss common challenges, measurement uncertainties, and legal aspects—all to give you a clearer overall understanding and practical insights that you can apply directly in your operations.
