As a member of the Circular Business Lab at RISE, you get to participate in 4 yearly member meetups of different themes, as well as research deep dives and regular check-ins. This time we are diving into Design for Circularity – where we will start by building a shared overview using both theory and real-world examples, as well as looking into Future Adaptive Design.

In this online session the 20th of November, focus will be on aspects such as longevity, design for repair and upgradeability and avoiding the traps of premature obsolescence.

Join Circular Business Lab at RISE on November 6 for a focused session exploring the science and practice behind circular business transformation.

This Deep-Dive brings together leading RISE researchers to share insights on critical enablers for circularity, including modular design for reuse, advanced remanufacturing processes, and strategies for integrating circular business logic into industrial ecosystems.

Välkommen till lanseringen av den världsunika rapporten Circular Economy Outlook Nordics. Rapporten undersöker i vilken utsträckning de 841 börsnoterade företagen i Danmark, Finland, Norge och Sverige har integrerat cirkularitet i sina affärsstrategier och verksamheter. Denna banbrytande studie är den första i sitt slag.

We are excited to launch our first cluster meet-up in the Circular Business Lab for Electronics later this week. We have gathered a group of forward leaning companies for an exciting conversation about how we can accelerate the transition to more circular electronics. On the agenda are three themes of high priority for our participants: 

• Electronics with reduced environmental impact
• Recycling of electronics including magnets
• Longer lifetimes vs improving recyclability

In the near future, all products sold within the EU will need a so-called digital product passport (DPP). This brings a new level of traceability based on augmented physical objects. It will also bring entirely new requirements on availability and quality of product data for both manufacturers and importers.

We’re now calling the furniture industry into the Circular Business Lab at RISE. On November 17^th we arranged a digital information meeting  to present the circular business lab at RISE and how it can be of value to the furniture industry . 

The first cluster of circular frontrunners boarded the Circular Business Lab at RISE in October to push the boundaries of circular business development. In this collaborative meet-up we gathered the circular brain trust and experience of some of Swedens's industrial leaders to explore:
