Strengthening competitiveness and innovation through applied research
RISE plays a unique role in society by supporting both the business community and the public sector. With our clear mission of conducting applied research, we influence social development and meet the needs of the world around us, as well as those of our customers, both today and tomorrow, with regard to major transition issues.
As Europe's fourth-largest research institute, RISE also plays an important role in developing European research policy, holding a leading position in sustainable and digital transitions.
A word from our CEO
RISE is built on at least a hundred years’ experience of applied, industry-focused research, which is a tremendous strength. On 1 April, we celebrated 10 years as a joint company, and I can say that the need for RISE has never been greater.
RISE is constantly evolving, developing new expertise, technology infrastructures and services. New strategic initiatives and collaborations are being launched, as is evident from the second-quarter report, with collaboration in areas such as total defence, energy and life sciences.
It was also a quarter significantly shaped by transformation, during which we not only implemented structural changes but also carried out efficiency improvements and restructuring in areas that had been facing challenges for some time. At the same time, we can note continued strong demand for RISE’s services across a number of areas. Our work towards operational excellence and focusing on areas of strategic importance to our customers continues.

RISE performs inspections, certifications, calibrations and tests across a wider range than any other operator in Sweden.
