RISE Centre for Cybersecurity

In RISE Centre for Cybersecurity we have gather expertise within RISE in order and build a solid foundation of a RISE joint Cybersecurity offer towards partners among industry and society.

Aim and goal

In RISE Centre for Cybersecurity we have gather expertise within RISE in order and build a solid foundation of a RISE joint Cybersecurity offer to external partners among industry and society towards all the ongoing digitalisation activities. Different domains have their specific constraints and cybersecurity needs. For example, the Mobility domain has its security challenges regards to connected vehicles and the Life Science domain has challenges in relation to e-Health.

Challenge

Most Swedish industries, especially the ones in the area of critical infrastructures (energy grids, water systems, communication systems, transportation systems) are continuously highly susceptible to cyber-attacks and need cybersecurity overhauls. Especially in these critical systems, a cybersecurity breach has also safety implications on top of negative impacts on the business. This further enhances the importance to continue build strong in-house cybersecurity competence within Sweden and RISE.

Solution

The RISE Centre for Cybersecurity (SVI Cybersecurity) will:

  • Bring together all cybersecurity competence and expertise within RISE
  • Be a single point of contact
  • Define RISE’s cybersecurity offerings
  • Build a RISE excellence network within Cybersecurity

Effect

Building the RISE Centre for Cybersecurity, RISE will eventually be the strongest cybersecurity player in Sweden and among the top ones internationally. This will enable RISE to help the industry and public sector, and RISE being a stronger speaking partner!
