RISE can conduct independent investigations, evaluations and, if necessary, limited field measurements of the ventilation function in different types of buildings. Ventilation function in the form of air flows, air quality and thermal comfort, as well as heat recovery and electrical efficiency.

As an independent part assist users and/or property owner in investigating, evaluating and, if necessary, making limited field measurements of the ventilation function in their buildings, usually in connections with them being uncertain or having complaints about the ventilation function. RISE does not carry out adjustments or routine ventilation checks, such as OVK, but refers such assignments to consultants who routinely perform this type of service.

Through RISE's accumulated and long-standing experience in the ventilation area (theoretical/academic as well as from laboratory tests and field assignments) we have a broad and deep knowledge of how ventilation systems work and what can be wrong and cause problems.

Many problems with indoor environment and/or high energy use are due to faults and deficiencies in the function of ventilation. There may be errors in the design as well as during the installation or in the operation and control of the system.

 Many times, users or operating staff have not received enough information and knowledge about how the system works and how it should be managed. 

The customer's need is identified via telephone and/or e-mail. Then an indication of price and delivery time is first given. If the customer is still interested, we may request additional documentation in the form of drawings, protocols, etc. before we write a formal quote. Since a fixed price is often difficult to give, the work is usually offered on a current hourly rate up to a maximum price. 

If the quotation is accepted, a time for ocular inspection and eventual measurements is then determined in consultation with the customer. Often, an ocular examination is enough to give a statement on the function of the ventilation and any suggestions for measures. In some cases, more detailed measurements may need to be performed, either by RISE or by another actor.

Usually, the customer receives a report that describes the background, implementation and results. For shorter projects, simplified reporting can be done via e-mail, possibly with attachments in the form of pictures, tables and/or diagrams.

 Depending on already planned assignments, project start-up time can normally vary between 1 - 4 weeks. Depending on the scope of the project and possible need for measurements, implementation can take anywhere from a few days to several months. In the latter case, of course, not full time.

Factors that affect delivery time are coordination with other actors, e.g. sub-consultants, or that certain measurements require a certain outdoor climate or a certain internal load.

Price on request for quotation. Usually on a current hourly rate up to a maximum price which can be increased after agreement with the customer.

Preparations are normally required in the form of coordination with other assignments, contacts with customers and other actors, review of documentation, find the appropriate date for on-site inspection, book any measuring equipment and means of transport.

Agile development usually starts a project with the customer presenting their needs. Quotation is submitted after discussion with customer regarding content and delimitations in a pre-study . When the quotation is accepted, a pre-study is carried out with varying degrees of involvement from the customer, depending on the nature of the need. The goal of the pre-study is to generate some ideas on how to satisfy the customer's needs, estimate the cost of different alternatives and develop a plan for continued work.

After completion of the pre-study, RISE will help to develop the selected solution step by step to final product if the customer so wishes.

RISE delivers according to quotation. Requirements for standard fulfillment and documentation are specified before project start. The normal delivery from the pre-study step is a report (often in PowerPoint format), where the problem is described and proposals for solutions are presented together with recommendations and suggestions for the next steps.

The delivery time for the first step normally a pre-study varies, but is usually between 1.5 and 3 months.

The development time for subsequent steps is very variable depending on the scope and complexity of the new development that must be implemented to reach a product.

The assignments are planned and performed in cooperation with the customer.

The service primarily serves as a client support for public and private clients of solar photovoltaic installations.

We offer feasibility studies, simulations, shading studies, dimensioning, third-party review of documents and documentation.

Support in the procurement process, education etc.

We can also offer measurements and inspections in the field.

The study may be presented at site or via Skype as a PowerPoint. Proposals of system design and installation variables are given and also how the PV-plat interacts with the grid. An economical analysis is given. The report is transferred on beforehand.
