NFSD 2022
Nordic Fire and Safety Days (NFSD) was held June 21-22 2022 at Lund University in Lund Sweden.
The topics range are from Risk to Fire Dynamics, from issues related to safe Transportation to rescue service, Batteries to evacuation.
There was four Keynote Speakers. Each days keynote session was followed by a panel discussion
On day one the topic for the key lectures was Safety of timber buildings.
- Robert McNamee, researcher at RISE and adjunct senior lecturer at Lund University will start the day with the lecture The coupling between fire dynamics and fire resistance - Are we on the right path?
- Dr. Esko Mikkola, Chief Fire Safety Expert, KK-Palokonsultti Oy will present Fire safety of timber buildings – past, today and future.
The topic for day two was Safe green energy.
- Dr. Paola Russo, associate professor at Sapienza University of Rome will start the day with the lecture Risk associated to H2 vehicles in tunnels and other confined spaces.
- Ola Willstrand, researcher at RISE, PhD-student at Uppsala University will present his keynote lecture about Battery safety.
