The Circular Plastics Conference 2025 – a meeting place for industry, research, and policymakers focusing on circular solutions

The Circular Plastics 2025

The National Center for Sustainable Plastics invites you to The Circular Plastics 2025, a conference uniting industry, academia, and key organisations to explore plastics' role in the circular economy. This platform fosters discussions on achieving fossil-free solutions through world-leading innovation and production of sustainable plastics.

Throughout the day, you’ll gain valuable insights into the latest advancements in recycling, circular design, and innovative solutions for durable plastic products. Through presentations, panel discussions, and networking, we’ll explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of plastics.

The National Centre for Sustainable Plastics fosters cross-sector collaboration across the plastics value chain. This conference provides a unique opportunity to establish new connections, strengthen existing partnerships, and influence future initiatives for sustainable plastics.

Selected Agenda Highlights:

  • The European Recycling Market – Current status, trends, and future opportunities.
  • The Nordic Recycling Market – Availability, quality considerations, and sourcing of recycled plastics. With Gustav Malmberg, Orbit Supply Chain and Lia Detterfelt, Renova..
  • Designing Plastic Packaging and Recycling Systems to Meet Future Demands – With experts from Recycklass and TOMRA.
  • Upcoming EU Legislation – Circular plastic recycling requirements and their impact on sustainable design for reuse and material recovery. With Annika Boss, RISE and representatives from Volvo Cars, Scania, and automotive component manufacturers.
  • Recycling Systems and Circular Plastics in Long-Life Certified Products – With Minh Nguyen Hoang, IKEA, Anna Jansson, RISE and representatives from the Nordic Plastic Pipe Group and the construction industry.
