Model Testing for wind

RISE can offer expertise in advanced model testing specifically tailored for wind assisted ships. Our test programs can be customised for both newly built and retrofitted vessels.

Model testing and CFD are standard procedures in the design phase of all newbuilt vessels. However, for vessels equipped with wind propulsion systems, additional model tests are required. These tests are essential to verify the vessel’s safety, performance, and compliance with regulatory standards.

At RISE, we have developed test programs combined with CFD campaigns, tailored for both newbuilt and retrofitted wind-powered ships. Our test programs assist the ship designers and builders in fulfilling the criteria and expectations of the rapidly developing wind propulsion segment.
